Business Development Officer



I am currently looking for a Business Development Officer in the training & education sectors. I am looking for individuals with good occupational experience, an interest in the role and the enthusiasm required to work with learners.

The purpose of the role is to develop links with local employers in order to promote and increase participation in the groups programmes. The post holder will be required to work flexibly, in a developing environment, maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction. The Business Development Officer will be required to develop existing and new relationships with a keen eye on business generation, you will be responsible for day to day marketing of the business to meet profiles and targets.



The Business Development Officer will be responsible to:



*Source employer contact information and maintain database accordingly

*Market employers offering NVQs and short courses

*Ensure quality assurance in relation to learner recruitment

* Develop and distribute sales marketing material

* Produce activity reports

* Attend and contribute to meetings

* Ensure adherence to equal opportunities

* Ensure adherence to funding and awarding body procedures



Person specification



Essential:

* Academic background

* Strong sales experience

* IT qualification in relation to Microsoft Office

* Basic literacy and numeracy



Desirable:

* Experience of obtaining funding in the education sector
